James Conduras (Conduras)
James E. Conduras, 96, of Brighton, MA passed away very peacefully and comfortable on March 1, 2018. He was the husband of the late Mary (Hatzikostantis) Conduras. Devoted father of Anne Baras, father-in-law to Peter Baras. Loving grandfather to Vasili, Maria, and Richard Baras and his wife Leah. He was the great-grandfather to Peter and Arianna Baras. He was the son of the late Emmanuel and Anastasia (Theodosiou) Kondouris. He was a loving brother to the late Nicholas Conduras and the late Victoria Giannino. He leaves behind a niece, nephews, and a sister-in-law. Also survived by loving friends. He was born in Norwich, CT in August, 1921, but grew up in the South End of Boston. He served his country as a WWII Veteran, as a US NAVY-AMM 1/C Aviation Machinist Mate from May, 1942 to Dec. 1945 and told many great stories of serving Pilot O'Hare's airplane now known as the legend Chicago Airport. He worked for 39 years for the US Post Office in South Station as a Postal Clerk, and part time for Milhender Industry. He will be remembered as a fun loving person, life of the party, and could wing you to the Jitter Bug or Zeimbeikiko right up to last year. Funeral from the Faggas Funeral Home, 551 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown, MA on Mon., March 5, 2018 at 9AM followed by Services in the Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church, 25 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, MA at 10AM. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 3PM to 6PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the above named church. Burial in the Gardens Cemetery.
