Condolence From: Arlene Z Stewart
Condolence: I just heard about Wagdy's passing at Summer Camp. I think I met him at Summer Camp more than 15 years ago. Wagdy was always very free with his valuable time with this code problem solver who back into building science backwards. I learned so much from him and always valued that he would be willing to talk to me about topics that must have been so basic to him. I am shocked to know that he know longer graces this world, but am grateful to know that he left the world peacefully. He lived his success, leaving the world a much better place. Please accept my condolences as you learn a new reality without him around.

Condolence: We'll miss Wagdy so much. We could always call upon him when we weren't sure what to do, or which questions to ask. Over the past 20 years he was so helpful as a friend and mentor. I can't imagine how much more he knew, that we never discussed.

This is a profound loss for many. My deepest sympathies to Wagdy's family.

Condolence: I was shocked to learn of Wagdy's passing away from Facebook yesterday. I was a classmate of Wagdy at Victoria College from 1947 to 1958 and then attended the first lecture at the Faculty of Engineering beside each other. He will always be remembered as a pleasant and amiable person back from the good old times. To his whole family, wife, children, brother and sister, and cousin Maher: Please accept my heartily condolences for the departure of this fine person. May he rest in eternal peace.

Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to Wagdy's family and close friends. He never failed to bring a smiling warmth and welcoming embrace every time we met and he shared his immense knowledge and perspective with us so generously. The past 14 years we shared at NIBS/BETEC are filled with fond memories of his boundless dedication and support. I'll miss him. I am so grateful that I can carry my admiration for him for the rest of my own life.

Condolence: Greta and Wagdy's entire family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I have many good memories of projects Wagdy consulted, advised and nodded approval as we attempted to solve the pressing detailing problems of the day. His kind smile, boundless knowledge of building science and wise mentoring will be missed.
After our time at Shelpley, I was often pleasantly surprised to bump into him at ABX seminars and SBRA Alumni lunches where we'd briefly catch up on each of our current activities.
May he rest in peace.
Bob

Condolence: I have known Wagdy from my days as an intern architect 30 years ago. I always look for him at the NESEA conference and it was odd that he wasn't there last week. He was so generous, gentle and smart that every encounter, however brief, made life a little brighter. He will be missed.

Condolence: Wagdy was a remarkable architect who not only worked on the design of many complex buildings but taught generations of architects at Shepley Bulfinch to be the best they could be. He made us aware of sustainability, energy use and building envelope technologies long before the rest of the profession was focused on those issues.

He had a deep love for his colleagues and the many people he came met through architecture. He was extremely proud of his family and loved them deeply. He had a wonderful relationship with his partner Greta who shared many of his professional passions. They were an inspirational pair who made the most of their time together.

Wagdy - gone too soon - you will be missed by all who knew and loved you.
