Condolence From: Peter Phillips
Condolence: Dear Phoebe, Mar and family,
I had not been in touch with Brendon for some time, we last exchanged emails in December 2017. I wasn't sure whether Brendon was still at Pfizer so looked him up just now. Sabrina and I are so crushed to have seen what has happened. Brendon, you Mar and Phoebe were such an important part of our lives as I started at Pfizer UK in 2002. From the moment we met as neighbours I knew Brendon was a kindred spirit. He was such a lovely man, kind, humble and with a truly wonderful sense of humour. You guys were an inspiration to us and my connection to Brendon, and Sabrina's to you Mar were tremendously important in our time there. And your palpable love for Phoebe was a joy to behold for us too.. I will never forget that Brendon made the huge effort to come over from the US for our wedding, a mark of his friendship. Whilst we have been less in touch since the joint days of Pfizer UK, you were always in our hearts. I cannot tell you how upset we are to hear of Brendon's passing, but please know Phoebe how loved he was by so many. He was a rare human being and one who will be forever remembered by so many

Condolence From: Rod Junor
Condolence: I will remember Brendon as a colleague with whom I always enjoyed working. He had a wonderful balance of intellect, compassion and humility. It takes real courage to leave your home country and set up a new life abroad and it takes real courage to leave the stable career of clinical medicine and move to industry, but Brendon took these transitions in his stride. I will remember him as someone who genuinely cared about patients and had a strong desire to bring new medicines to them, not for his personal glory, but entirely for their need. He fought to help those weaker than himself, those in need. He was a brilliant strategic thinker and always took a global view. He would fight the corner to make sure we did the right experiment, and resisted pressure to do the quickest or cheapest one. It is a dreadful shame he has passed away so young and so unexpectedly, but he will *not* be forgotten. My sincere condolences to all the Binneman family.

Condolence: Dear Phoebe,
I would like to tell you a few things about your dad in the hope that it may help you now or in the future cope with this tragic loss. It was my great pleasure to work with your father at Pfizer for many years and to count him as a friend. Brendon was a kind person who cared about people around him. He was very smart and approached his work with passion and dedication. He worked for a very noble purpose, to help find new and better treatments for people afflicted with mental health problems. When we got together away from work, be it on the golf course or a poker game at his home, he had a fun-loving and carefree approach. He loved to laugh and enjoyed life. When he spoke about you, we could all see the unconditional love of a father for his daughter. You no doubt have inherited some of these great qualities from your father and that will make you a wonderful and caring person as you grow up and cherish your memories of him.
My most sincere condolences to you Phoebe and the Binneman family.

Condolence: Brendon has played cricket with us at the Colonial Cavaliers CC for a number of years now. He was a much respected member, who's humility, generosity (the biltong!) good humor, passion for cricket and life and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all of our club members. Like everyone we are in shock and sadness and can only offer our sincerest condolences to Phoebe and the rest of the Binneman extended family. We plan to honor Brendon with an annual cricket match in his name and also re-name our Clubman of the Year Trophy after him. He will never be forgotten.
