Condolences

Condolence From: Deborah Halachis Emmert
Condolence: 🌹 Catherine - Aunt Kay - was my father John's eldest sister. Through our years growing up, my father would recount the many stories of how his sister Kay would always "be there" for him ... providing loving confidence and support, so that he could move upwards and achieve his dreams. John Halachis loved his sister beyond words ... and our love for Aunt Kay is enriched even more, through the love she gave her brother ... her family ... all that knew her. The world is a dimmer place without this very special soul.

I would like to share lines from a sonnet by Mary Elizabeth Frye. These have always given me solace and comfort in times of grief, and pray they do the same for others. Na sas zisi ... Deborah Halachis Emmert 🌹

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
